“Living above the noise" means intentionally rising above the chaos, distractions, opinions, and negativity of daily life to maintain focus, peace, and purpose. It’s a proactive approach to mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Living above the noise prioritizes long-term growth and core values over immediate reactions to external pressures.
"When the world feels too loud, remember who Whispers in your silence. You are never unseen, never unloved, never alone". - Maya Angelou
"To know yourself as the Being underneath the thinker, the stillness underneath the mental noise... is freedom." - Eckhart Tolle
“It is the space between the notes that makes the music. Without that emptiness, that silence in between, there is no music, only a noise.” - Wayne W. Dyer, Wisdom of the Ages
“We cannot live in a world interpreted for us by others. An interpreted world is not a hope. Part of the terror is to take back our listening, to use our own voice, to see our own light.” - Hildegard of Bingen
“Spirituality is not to be learned by flight from the world, or by running away from things, or by turning solitary and going apart from the world. Rather, we must learn an inner solitude wherever or with whomsoever we may be. We must learn to penetrate things and find God there.” - Meister Eckhart
“Before you speak, it is necessary for you to listen, for God speaks in the silence of the heart.” AND “We need to find God, and he cannot be found in noise and restlessness. God is the friend of silence. See how nature - trees, flowers, grass- grows in silence; see the stars, the moon and the sun, how they move in silence... We need silence to be able to touch souls.” Mother Teresa
“The quieter you become, the more you are able to hear.” – Rumi
“All the wonders of life are already here. They’re calling you. If you can listen to them, you will be able to stop running. What you need, what we all need, is silence. Stop the noise in your mind in order for the wondrous sounds of life to be heard. Then you can begin to live your life authentically and deeply.” - Thích Nhất Hạnh, Silence: A Guide to Harnessing Your Most Powerful Inner Resource
“Stop trying, stop struggling; begin to be calm, to trust in the higher laws of life, even though you do not see them; they are still there.” - Ernest Holmes
“You are the sky. Everything else – it’s just the weather.” - Pema Chödrön
The clouds roll by, and we can return to this moment, where all is well. [4-7-8 breath] Let us breathe into this sacred moment of silence
